South Havering Inspector Connolly is stepping up the fight against tool theft and vehicle crime after meeting with representatives from leading security specialists TVL Security. The move signals a renewed push to protect tradespeople, residents, and vehicle owners across the borough.
TVL, who specialise in high-grade vehicle security systems, have pledged to work closely with police in the battle against tool and vehicle theft. The partnership is part of a wider strategy being driven by Inspector Connolly, who has been at the forefront of tackling this growing crime.
Inspector Connolly has led the Met’s response to tool theft, delivering major results on the ground. Last year, he and his teams targeted multiple boot sales, recovering nearly half a million pounds worth of stolen tools and disrupting criminal networks that profit from the misery of working people.
Inspector Connolly told the Havering Daily:
“This week, I had the privilege of meeting with TVL – leaders in vehicle security and innovation, and passionate advocates for preventing tool and vehicle theft across the UK.
Together with TVL and other partners, our mission for 2026 is clear: increase awareness, strengthen crime prevention, and keep Havering one of the safest areas for vehicle security in London and Essex.
